The checker considers Companies House confirmation, official four-digit SIC and six-digit HS classifications, GB manufacturing, and site-specific annual grid-supplied electricity. Official guidance and legislation remain authoritative.
Use the official BICS eligibility publication on GOV.UK. The checker asks you to confirm your codes against that source and does not maintain its own list.
Each claimed site must use at least 33 MWh of grid-supplied electricity annually. Exactly 33 MWh meets the threshold. Sites are never added together to reach it.
A share of 25% or less indicates 0%; above 25% and below 50% indicates 50%; and 50% or more indicates 100% of eligible in-scope policy costs. This is not a cash figure.
